Transformation at Brixton Village Granville Arcade this Saturday is all about making
stuff - turning something in to something else - just like caterpillars
to butterflies!
Charlie & Bird are excited to announce
their first jewellery workshop in the avenues. Try your hand at
creating a beautiful pair of earrings…or bring along your old tired
beads, antique buttons, ribbons, bells (or in fact bring anything you
think would make interesting jewellery) for a transformation into
something beautiful and wearable. If you can't get your own creative
juices flowing Charlie & Bird will also be selling their own
creations.
Alter-Ego at 90 Brixton Village - intends is to
eliminate the snobishness of Art and Design by creating this rough and
ready 'live' space - price of entry is a drawing of your alter-ego.
1-5pm:
Help create the Communist Gallery - explore alternative values that
grow from the individuals that partake in a wall-less gallery and shape
it through questioning a new communist vision. This isn't allied to any
political party- it is a chance to re-explore the tradition of
emancipation and alternative vision going back to Winstanley, Blake,
Rosa Luxemburg, Dessalines and Sparticus.
3.30 - 5pm: Get dissolved and let something new grow! Come and lie inside Brixtoloptithicus the Giant wooden Being 3.30-5pm.
See you and your creative streak on Saturday.
